THINK JAM + FRANCHISES
OUR JOURNEY IN FANDOMS.
Franchises are more important and dominate the world of entertainment like never before. Building fandom and long term engagement is the key to creating high-value entertainment IP. At Think Jam, we are proud to consider ourselves the world’s leading franchise agency.
Franchise marketing is not the same as traditional film marketing — something we’ve learnt after over a decade of doing both everyday — and every franchise manager needs to ensure a bespoke process is undertaken and the right experts are in place.
Our methodology is (xxx) and works because (xxx). Strategy, story + scale.
We’ve cut our teeth as a trusted partner for the past 15 years on some of the most successful franchises in entertainment history. But in this increasingly growing world of fandom, there’s still plenty more to do. Here’s a snippet of our journey so far:

9 MOVIES OVER 3 FRANCHISES.
Twilight. Hunger Games. Divergent.
The year was 2008. A time before Instagram, before Obama. We launched 9 new, young adult movies over 3 franchises to a global audience of teens and young adults, giving them a new voice on a thing called social media and garnering millions of dollars in box office success as a result. We’re now in the franchise game, and it’s a lot more fun for us than Katniss Everdeen.

OVER A DECADE IN THE WIZARDING WORLD
Strategy. Creative Direction. Community building. Fandom on a level rarely seen. We’re the trusted partners behind a world of online magic — with no tricks to speak of. Just smart thinking and a lot of hustle. We’re proud to say we’re still going strong, launching, growing, building and creating on a daily basis, while never losing our love for The Boy Who Lived.

HOW DO YOU SAY ‘THE HOBBIT’ IN 12 LANGUAGES?
We delved deep and buckled up for a wild three-year ride to Middle Earth (and even learned some elvish along the way) on J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit. We launched the trilogy with award-winning media formats that transformed the desktop experience for consumers in 12 different markets, opening the door for new fans to explore Middle Earth, as well as creating a vast multi-media treasure hunt, evolving with each release, touching media partners, fansites and by this point, a growing list of Hobbit social channels.

DON’T F*CK WITH BATMAN. HE MEANS BUSINESS.
Our history with the DC world dates back as far as the release of The Dark Knight Rises. We were enlisted to deliver industry leading social and publicity campaigns for the final installment of Christopher Nolan’s groundbreaking Batman trilogy, but it wasn’t long before we were brought on by Warner Bros. as the retained agency for the rest of their DC theatrical and HE releases too, culminating with Aquaman’s wet and windy billion dollar success in 2018.
WE VENTURED BEYOND THE WALL.
Westoros came calling and we climbed aboard. From social content to big publicity splashes, we helped build the world’s biggest TV show into a show-stopping online phenomenon. Together, our London and LA teams teamed up with the licensing and retail departments, working with 20+ global partners including Adidas and Diageo, to promote the final season and go out with a huge splash (of ice and fire). We’re huge fans of the show it became, and the world we helped to create online.

DON’T FORGET THE KIDS. AND ANIMALS. AND TROLLS.
THE ENTERTAINMENT AGE.
We would love to discuss being your brand guardians, growing your fanbase, and keeping the franchise fresh through its growth and global expansion.
